Teaching classes is fun and exciting! It's a terrific way to bring our beloved art to the community. But, preparing classes is time-consuming and often difficult to fit into our busy schedules. For this reason, I am introducing my Teacher Program.

By purchasing a Teacher Program Packet from me, you are no longer burdened by producing class material. You can learn the material and teach it directly from my class material.

This Teacher Program is available to anyone who would like to teach the class. This includes private teachers, yarn shop owners, CGOA chapters, etc.

This Program makes the project patterns available directly to the teacher at wholesale prices instead of having each student purchase the pattern separately at regular retail. Any patterns available at Kimane Designs can be purchased at wholesale cost with a minimum order of 10 print licenses in the same manner as this Program, even if they are not listed below. Simply send an email to kim@crochetkim.com to make arrangements.

Each Teacher Program provides the teacher with a license to print the project pattern 10 times, one for each of 10 students. This covers 10 students only. You will receive one PDF which you can print yourself or send to a printer such as Kinkos or Staples for printing. If you would like to purchase additional licenses for more students, please contact me privately. Some packages may also include the teacher material which can be separately purchased. This material is solely for the teacher to learn and practice the technique. It's not necessary (and not recommended) to print for the students. This allows you to learn the material then teach in your own style.

After purchasing a Packet which includes the Teacher Material, when available, I will give you access to any videos I feel will be useful to learn the material. The videos will be available online. It is not necessary that you view the videos in order to teach the class. They are available to the teacher to assist in learning. They are not to be used in the class itself. Again, you should apply your own teaching style to your own class.

You are free to teach your 10 students wherever you like, be it a local yarn shop, community center, library or your favorite coffee shop (with their permission, of course). You are free to charge whatever fee you like for teaching the class.

Each Teacher Program is copyright-protected. You are not allowed to alter, change or edit any part of the Packet. By purchasing a Teacher Program Packet, you agree to my Terms of Use.

Terms of Use: When you purchase a Teacher Program Packet, you will receive all text material as a PDF attachment to email. You are allowed to print 10 copies of the file to teach 10 students only. You are not allowed to print more copies unless you purchase additional licenses from me. You are not to share any of my class material with anyone else and all material is to remain exactly as you have received it. You are only allowed to use my Teacher Program to teach LIVE classes. The Teacher Program is not intended for online or video classes.

After purchase, please allow up to 72 hours to receive an email from me with your purchase as all packages are personalized and must be created separately. The material will be sent to the email address you have registered with PayPal unless you request otherwise. Please be sure to also check your spam folder for receipt.

Teacher Program Packet: Drop Stitch Ripple

Teacher Program Packet: Tunisian Beginner Bag

Description: Here is your chance to learn (or practice) Tunisian crochet on a cute, small felted bag. This is an easy project and a bag can be crocheted and felted in just two days. Since Tunisian crochet is the perfect medium for felting, no special lining is necessary. This is a beginner Tunisian crochet project. No Tunisian crochet experience is necessary. The bag itself is small once felted (approximately 10" x 10" not including handles) but the size can be adjusted easily by adding stitches and rows. Teacher material includes step-by-step hand felting instructions (not machine felting).

Teacher Program Packet: Tunisian Short Row Bag

Description: Tunisian crochet is the best medium I have found for felted projects. It really makes terrific projects and you won't be disappointed! This bag incorporates 3 Tunisian crochet stitches and will allow you the opportunity to learn Tunisian crochet without purchasing a Tunisian crochet hook. If you have a K or L crochet hook without a thumb rest (like Brittany, Clover, or other wooden hook), you can complete this adorable bag with a smaller hook because the greatest number of stitches on the hook at any given time is only 15 stitches! This is an intermediate level Tunisian project. The class is meant to challenge Tunisian skills. Teacher material includes step-by-step hand felting instructions (not machine felting).

Teacher Program Packet: Broomstick Lace

Description: Called "jiffy lace" for a reason, you'll quickly find that broomstick lace is a fast and fun new project! You can use the techniques learned in this class for a scarf, shawl, or throw. Don't let broomstick lace scare you anymore! Students will learn all the tips and tricks to make their own special project whether they choose to do a scarf, shawl, or throw. Broomstick pin or size 35 or 50 knitting needle necessary.

Teacher Program Packet: Geo Scarf

Description: Self-striping yarn and Tunisian crochet join together for the perfect combination of color and texture in this Tunisian Short Row Scarf. This scarf is designed to avoid the annoying curl so often associated with Tunisian crochet. It's perfectly adaptable to any yarn. Students are encouraged to try out the technique with a solid yarn of their choice in the class when learning. It's not necessary to use self-striping yarn in the learning process. Once the technique is learned, you'll have the pattern to begin working on this beautiful scarf in the yarn of your choice. Tunisian Short Rows, just like in knitting, create wedges. The scarf is made using two different Tunisian crochet stitches and two different short row techniques. Once learned, the pattern is easily adaptable to make a project any size you like.
